We're back at LCA where attendance will be 19,510 but we'll see 5k, bright red empty seats in the LOWER bowl. I'd go back to Mrazek, showcase him, get him warm and move his ass before the deadline I was pretty impressed with Hicketts last night. For a rookie in his first NHL game he played fairly well. He has a pretty good hockey IQ, moves the puck quickly and has decent speed to recover. He's a small guy but he appears to not have any fear of contact and will go to the difficult areas and take a hit to make a play.

---- move his ass before the deadline ----I would never understand why would anybody want to trade a 25 year old still with potential to be #1 and keep 35 years old injury prone goalie who is having a good season (before he gets injured again).

I think his stats dictate this. Howard has been the better goalie for a a season and a half now in a nutshell he's a backup goalie, not a #1 and is overpaid for a shot counter for the season. Mrazek's a RFA after this season and both his and Howard cap hits are similar. Also Mrazek is the one the Wings have been talking about trading and listening to trade offers. Howard has one more year on his contract before becoming a UFA. Hell, I'd be fine trading them both hahaha. $9 million tied up in goaltending is too much.

Imo, the fact Howard was better in the last 18 months does not matter in the big picture of things. Howard is not going to be here when this team is competitive. Mrazek might be. Howard trade value will never be higher either. it's a given he will get injured soon and/or regress to form. Mrazek is starting tonight again by the way. I am sure 2 men forechecking is coming our way tonight.

I am sure 2 men forechecking is coming our way tonight. Yeah...we had a break of that last night, Philadelphia won't play a dumb game like NJ did last night. They have our number home or away no difference.

Hicketts and Turgeon going back down to GR so either Luke, Helm, or Abdelkader will return.
Maybe Daley is ready too since Hicketts went back?

Well, when is the last time some D man lobbed the puck in from 60 feet and it went in the OTHER team's net. Finally, one for us.
Jeez, that place is empty. I think I told you guys the only game I went to this year was on a friends tic when he was out of town. It was literally the second to last row. I was getting vertigo looking at the ice so far below. Face value on the tic - $110 !!

Wings can consider trading either goalie or almost any position player. The key is to get something better in return in the long run.

1-7 in OT. 3-1 in shootouts. Hard to go 1-7

We should have won this one...
Oh well, we grabbed a parity point for losing in OT

Larkin gave up on the GWG. Was looking for the offsides call. Mental mistake that cost them.

frustration, frustration and more frustration. We are out of this race but it still hurts to see this.
First on the winner..
Larkin..instead of complaining play hard will ya, he had to do Something against the Flyer puck carrier, instead he stopped ! And on the same play AA came charging back in, was within reach of the flyer player..but stopped and let him walk! Had he play hard to whole way he might have had to reach the flyer forward.
That overtime sequence look like total shit from the start.
Now about Mrazek..two bad goals and specially the winner in OT. What the hell was that move ? Use you body to stop the puck don't use your glove and hope for the puck to hit the glove miraculousy. Mrazek lost a glorious chance to say something about his future..but failed. He is not the same goalie at home.
What Frk has done so bad to play just a few shifts the whole game ? Most of them on the PP if not all. Frk works hard and don't deserve to sit like he did tonight, he works hard than Mantha the king of floater who again tonight decided to play with a bit more desire very late in the the game. They can't trade this guy cause he's got talent and we don't have a lot, but boy this Mantha will never be my kind of player.
The first 40 minutes we were missing in action, just about 10 shots i believe, a disgrace.
And the winner was off-side.

Every time we play a good game, I think we are going to go on a run and next game reality sets in. We played well for about 35 minutes today. Still could have won if Bert scores 2 empty netters. I think Glen was our best player tonight.
