I kind of figured DK would be questionable...he blocked a shot off the foot that bounced back outside the zone.
I want to see an effort like we had in the 3rd period against Dallas the other night...for the entire game and let no softies in...we're tot fragile for that

Kronwall not only playing, but taking Daley place on a PP. Looks like DK is out. Abby, of course, is promoted to the second line. Frk, of course, is demoted to the third line. Welcome to the bizarre world of the Red Wings when the contract status and seniority is all that matters.

nuts and he always makes sure he keeps his obsession alive...read this;
Jeff Blashill pulled Riley Sheahan aside and gave the Detroit Red Wings forward a message....
“The biggest thing I just wanted to make sure with him is that he keeps his confidence up,” Blashill said Thursday at Gila River Arena, where the Wings were scheduled to play an evening game against the Arizona Coyotes. “Riley is a 12-13 goal scorer in this league. He has proven that. That wasn’t by fluke. It wasn’t because he was playing with certain guys. It was because that is what he is.”
Sheahan has started the season on the fourth line, but “the biggest thing with him is, he’s a guy who without question can move up the lineup,” Blashill said. “He’s done it before. He’s just got to make sure his game is ready whenever the door of opportunity opens.

Witkowski wearing defenseman'a jersey for morning skate right now.
DeKeyser not skating so Daley is with Ericsson. Kronwall with Green.
lines: Tatar-Zetterberg-Nyquist Mantha-Larkin-Abdelkader Frk-Nielsen-Helm Glendening-Sheahan-Booth
PP units: Tatar-Zetterberg-Nyquist-Abdelkader (net front)-Kronwall; Frk-Nielsen-Larkin-Mantha (net front)-Green
Nice move coach, dismantle Larks line is a very smart move...congrat coach !

We’re 0-0 after one because of Jimmy Howard only, he looks really sharp again. Fugly first period we should be down by 2 or 3.
Can’t believe I’m staying up for this.
40 more minutes of hockey to go!

Larkins speed on the PK creates a 2 on 1 and sets up Glendening for the for the game winner. This game and 2points go to Jimmy Howard. We didn’t play very well, similar to the game in Dallas but Howard steals the show. If he would have started against Dallas we would have gotten a point or 2 outta that one.
On to Vegas for tomorrow night!

nice effort again. At least we can't say we are not intense. Howard was great, too bad he had to give up a not so good rebound on the first goal. I'd play him again tomorrow.
One downer..the play of Mantha. He is playing with Blashill's patience...Got to work buddy...
Stupid fight with Jensen. The yotes didnt have the guts to take off his visor. It gets my blood boiling when i see that, the guy was twice Jensen size, but did all he could to use his visor to protect himself. Not fair...
3-1 folks !

Great shorthanded rush by Larkin. Still not sure why Howard was not in goal on Tuesday, he is like 80% of the reason we won 3 games. I do not think Abby and his 19 minutes added anything to our second line.
