Mantha-Larkin-AA is a great line. Great speed and skill. The pucks usually in the offensive zone when they’re out there. They get on you quick and force turnovers and giveaways. I think Larkin is turning into 200!ft player. This line should get more minutes an be on the first power play unit. We had a solid first period. We won, I’ll take it but we need to play 3 periods. On to Ottawa! Winning streak at: 2

Getting rid of Blas will not make this team much better if any better at all. As always players determine the outcome of seasons in all sports. The Wings simply don't have the horses. BTW...same goes for the Tigers. Fanatics had been crying about Ausmus for a few years. Gardy can't make their players any better either. I remember all the praise he got when with Minny and he had good players. Leyland was getting ripped every day by many fans. They wanted a manager like..."Gardy" THEN Minny lost some good players...and the team sucked under Gardy. There are very good reasons most coaches/managers make a mere pittance compared to good players. They are rarely a key factor in the outcome of seasons. The Wings won't contend until they get some GREAT players! LGRW!

I think we would be better if it really was up to the players on personal, line changes and d pairings. A good coach won't keep rolling 4 lines and putting players on the ice that don't give the you the best shot at retaining a lead or get you a goal if you trailing. A good coach recognizes what players are playing well and which ones are not...plays the ones who are feelin it and reduces minutes or parks those who are drifting. We just do not have a good coach. I do agree we don't have the horses to win a cup but we have enough pieces to be better than we are and possibly make the playoffs.

Maybe a different coach could sneak them in the back door. .. maybe not.....but no coach can make a major difference with the same personnel in the LONG run. They are what they are. As always we can agree to disagree.

was Kroner a difficult player to Watch last night ? Look at the second goal...a pylone ! Look at the 3rd...it seems that he was playing for the Yotes !
And then after those 2 terribles goals he was on the ice with a minute to play against a 6 on 4 !
So this is the kind of decision that can make you lose valuable points and in the long run kick you out of the playoffs race. October points are as important as march points.

I noticed that Pierre. Kronners body has taken its toll along with his age. As much as I hate to say it, we are a better team with Kronwall on LTIR and DeKeyser in. We'd be even better if we can get Ericsson out haha. I'd like to see some younger kids in the lineup myself. There was one kid I saw in preseason (can't remember his name) but he didnt look out of place at all.

Ericsson all things considered has been OK so far this season That tells you a lot about our current D...E is second to Daley at the moment. This is probably the best we've seen from E since his rookie season. But we need help on D. That damn salary cap stops us from recalling Hicketts, and the decision not to place DK on LTIR is to say the least..very Strange. It would have been a perfect time to see Hicketts. ...unless the Swedish group said NO...afraid that Kroner or E might lose their job...

I totally share your sentiments, Pierre. they looked good for the first few minutes and a brief spurt at the end of the second. I didn't like the comedy of errors and lackadaisical play that was evident far too often, especially the third.
They were lucky not to lose, as Blashill seems determined to make dumb moves in terms of who plays in key situations.

-----That damn salary cap stops us from recalling Hicketts,
----what stops us from recalling Hicketts is that Blashill probably thinks the 6 dmen we have are better and I do not know enough about Hicketts to make a judgement on that
