On the bright side if they keep getting hammered for the next five years we all might get to see them hoist another Cup before the inevitable dirt nap or fry!

Do the Habs have talent ?? No I will not travel to see the Detroit Tigers as the ownership shit on the fans.Same for these pathetic Wings. Need the Illitches to SELL SELL SELL! Baseball is different though Pierre. Not intense like pucks. No clock just carefree viewing! Montreal? Price is very talented. Weber too. Not sure why you asked that question? cause i'm mad and frustrated just like you are...

Maybe the difference is in details...coaching...goaling the only difference i saw was in goal... beside intensity. THe Wings don't believe they can win anymore.

Same pattern really. We outplay the opponent for the first 30 minutes, but cannot convert. Then we allow 2 quick goals and it sucks the life out of the team. By the time Montreal tied the game, it was supposed to be 5:1 Detroit. And no Weber or Drouin.

The team does need more talent and you get that through the draft. Regarding ownership, I was watching the "100 years of the NHL" the other day and it mentioned how Mr. Norris saved the Detroit Club from receivership in the 30's and his team did well for the next 30 years. He passed on and the Wings eventually became a laughing stock of the league as the next generation of Norris let things fall apart. (We all remember the 70s teams). Now Mr. I buys the team in the 70s and turns it all around and gets a number of cups and a winning team but the next generation of his family has taken over. Do they still have what it takes like Mr. I or the original Mr. Norris to get things done to make them a winner ? Ownership is always a key - just ask Leaf fans about Harold Ballard. Also, the Fords have not sold the Lions and look at their results (last championship I think was 1954) It will be interesting to see how the Wings do over the next 5 years. I don't think they will ever go back to the darkness with Harkness era but the current owners have to stay on top of things and have a plan. If that plan is a rebuild then so be it.

I have said the same about the Lions, they’ll never win while the Fords own them.
I don’t think Illitch Holdings have the same passion for winning cups. It’s just a business for them. Until the fans quit showing they still will be profitable.

and friend from Montreal asked me yesterday why their was so many empty seats in the building.... I'm tire to say "i dont know " I don't know either but attendance was 19,515 which I believe is a sellout....it looks more like 12-15,000 people. I find it hard to believe there are 4000 just walking around the new building looking at stuff. There are always tickets available on resellers like stub hub, vividseats, razor gator etc. We're lucky that we are in the Atlantic division as its fairly weak and #3 slot is in reach against other sucky teams haha. A part of me wants to keep the losing streak going so maybe they'll fire Blashill..currently at 6 and climbing while we sink in the standings. I have little to no hope with him running the show behind the bench...

-----We're lucky that we are in the Atlantic ----Or unlucky. Being close to the playoffs will guarantee mediocrity for years to come if KH still in charge.

The red wings too 6 steps forward now 8 straight back. So easy to shake their confidence by losing just one game.
