If they win 10 in a row and then win 70% of their remaining games in regulation they have a shot

ILl believe it considering how in the conference, the bubble teams are all equally bad. It’s still as unlikely as anything.

Let's resume this discussion if we win the next 4 or 5. In the meantimes any loses is a major setback.

Bruins were out of the post season just 2 years. Their major change this year to last is adding Charlie Macavoy. Young defenseman and now Krug isn’t having to do all that work. Bergeron’s numbers are up because of it too. Green isn’t Krug but just one more Green level of production in Detroit is the difference between scoring more goals and there on winning more of these close games

This is our next step if we want to be like the Bruins in 2018-19...

Glen SAther announces Rangers are selling as he continues to reshape the team
That means every expiring contract is rumored on the block, including Ryan McDonagh.
I think John Carlsson is better if he hits the market. But at age 28, everything about his game fits any teams need for defense.
Also: Bruins fired Julien but his replacement didn’t change the system. That intangible is interesting but Ken Holland’s history is that he hasn’t fired anyone, but.....Nelson in Grand Rapids is looking better every week

i don't want Nelson nor anybody that knows the Wings system. We thought we had a gem when we promote Blashill...look where we are now..
Fresh mind that's what we need. The GM should be Julien Brisebois from Tampa Bay org, and the new coach should be his man...

I think Tortorella is really the man to change you up since he’s the only coach who will consistently put proper shame in slumping veterans. Turned out he was right Brad Richards lost his game and wasn’t top six anymore when he made that move for example. But I’ve only seen Bob Gainey Fire a coach on a playoff team in my lifetime.

i love Tortorella but i think he is sometimes a bit too much. A showoff..
but yeah..he'd kick some sad asses in that dressing room for sure

I like Torts too but I can't handle him for too long. He's too headstrong and even if he's wrong about something he keeps on keeping on way longer that he should vs. realizing its not working and make a change.

I feel like getting embarrassed last night made every red wing regret any sign of optimism towards the playoffs. The weighted lottery is gone thanks to a decade plus of Oiler tanking but there’s still several potential franchise defense and a lot of good forwards in the upcoming draft.
