Boston has been tough. Hopefully they'll rest some players and sit Rask down so we can make whoever the back up is look like a hockey goalie god. he realy doesn't have to, he just needs to stop one more shot than the dude at the other end of the ice. I'm guessing it will be Howard again.
PSA: Game on NBCSN
Countdown to end the season of pain: 17 games including this one.
Oh, by the way. Look at the Florida Panthers making a run of it and 1point out of the Wildcard with 3 games in hand too. They have won 6 in a row and are 8-2-0. That is how you have to gain ground, go on a winning streak...something we're are incapable of. Our longest winning streak was 4 games. The next closest was 2 Games. But we've lost 6 in a row a couple times.
Go Team Go! (like away until you get your shit together)
*Edit - Coreau starts
Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Nyquist
Abdelkader-Larkin-Mantha
Athanasiou-Nielsen-Helm
Witkowski-Glendening-Frk
Ericsson-Daley
DeKeyser-Jensen
Kronwall-Green

Wow I didn't realize it was a 7:00 start and tuned in late. We were already down 2 zip. Then tied then #55 was showing the youngsters "how to play." Next thing you know down again. Now a PP for us go wings! Good intensity tonight.

What a dumb shift by Larka and Mantha in OT. As good and talented Larkin is he can make bonehead plays sometimes. To try to skate by everybody in OT, going into a crowded area instead of using the whole ice, specially in OT where you have room, he lost control, skate back in our zone, then let go his man in front of the net A SECOND TIME...piece of cake for Marchand.
All of this while the king of floater Mantha was watching...pretenting to do anything.
Mantha can score 50 goals in a second he will never be my kind of player. This guy floats 2 shifts out of 3, plays only when he feels like.
Larkin is talented but not the smartest.
We always play without any structure and for a change tonight we weren't intense. Lucky for us the Bruins weren't intense either, their defense is questionnable.
But relax folks we are safe in net our goalies are great !!

Not intense? What game were watching, my dear friend, Mr. Pierre? This was the most intense game that held my interest in a long time. Intense from end to end.

I don't think I ever saw 2 goals in 15 seconds in the opening minute if an NHL game before...yikes! I think it is fairly safe to say that Coreau had better find a day job or make a career in the AHL. I feel bad for the guy really, he may not get another chance in the NHL now. Even funnier? Howard gets the LOSS, his 4th in a row...yay team!
I thought we were intense for the most part and did a pretty good job battling back after the bad start. We can't put a team with that much skill on the power play 4 times. Abby, Witkowski took dumb penalties, Wit had 4 PM's and under 4 minutes TOI. Special teams were the difference maker
Our strategy or lack there of in OT is apparent and players who high number of turnovers/giveaways should not see the ice in the 5 minute shinny OT period.
Losing streak hits 4 but hey, lets spin the positive that we got a point! yippy skippy!
