Could our losing streak reach 11? Tough to say, Mrazek starts for the Flyers so it depends on which Mrazek shows up...we have a 50-50 chance of winning. The only player on our roster who isn't a minus is Nielsen who is +1 -16 Kronwall -14 Glendening -14 Larkin -13 Green -13 AA -13 Jensen -13 Frk -10 Bertuzzi Pretty sad... Only 10 more games to go. Winning or losing at this juncture make little difference in our seeding for the draft although I'd like to drop 10 more as it will assist in getting the coach outta here. Game is NBCSN by the way #RedWings in morning skate: Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Nyquist Helm-Larkin-Mantha Athanasiou-Nielsen-Abdelkader Frk-Glendening-Svechnikov (Booth working in) Ericsson-Daley Kronwall-Green DeKeyser-Jensen Ouellet-Witkowski Howard is the starter

how dare you say those games are not important !! Those are critical games !! You want a proof ? Well our beloved coach starts Howard again. Its important to see if he is good enough to be our goalie next years. I personnally still have a few things to check about him before i make up my mind... Another one ? Frk barely play 5 minutes because he is a defense liability. In critical games like these its not the time play bad defense...no way ! Also we cant afford to risk losing the game by playing XO before any of great defense core...too risky ! Coach would love to cut down on Z's ice time but again its too risky, we might lose the games if we do so..< Its also important to keep Abby as a net front guy, our PP is red hot, i believe we scored a goal lately, let's not break a winning combination. And the decision to play Helm with Mantha and Larks was a piece of Genius. Don't you like to see them fly ? Of course don't pass the puck to Helm cause you know the play will end right there..but don't worry he is a great defensive player, he covers for both of his linemates..when he doesnt get caught in deep but that doesn't happen more than 10 to 15 times a game... See Shawn...i told you those games are critical !

Yes, let’s play Booth tonight for Svech. #77 did not make a great impact yet playing 5 minutes per game on a 4th line with Glen as his center and tonight is a crucial game, a must win really

Pure Weighted lottery is gone but the three worst teams still have the best odds in top five picks. With the potential for a game changing defenseman inbthis draft, I observe that only Buffalo, Vancouver and Arizona are worse than Detroit is looking to finish. For the sake of the players who might get moved, I think the moral decision from Ken Holland is to have Blashill play as many different combos as possible
I hope that Philadelphia doesn’t decide this is a throwaway game. They don’t want to lose any ground to Columbus or New Jersey.

He got credit this year for every player averaging at least ten a game but he did that in Florida too.

By the way Arizona is 6-3-1 in the last 10 games and only 4 points behind us

Most fans give too much blame to coaches/managers when a team loses. The vast majority of players off the record will tell you they matter little. They will tell you they can coach/manage themselves and WITH TALENT they will win. Thus the great player makes 10 times more money than a so called great coach. Coaches win when they have GREAT players. Not saying another coach couldn't make the Wings better. Just saying even the greatest coach on earth could not make any bottom feeder a playoff team. Realize this is a minority opinion. Its just that a large faction of fans of ANY losing team wrongly blames the coach when he rarely is a big factor. GMs responsible for creating the rosters are a HUGE FACTOR. Put Blas behind the Lightening bench and they would not miss a beat.

So is the Stanley Cup Parade back on? Good game for Larkin. Bad game for Mrazek. He won’t sign there...I wonder what he said to the coach after he got yanked? Still lots of empty seats at LCA but attendance will be 19,515

To bad they had to yank Mrazek, because it would have been a much easier win..
So many bad décisions by our loveable coach. Helm in OT, Z in OT after a terrible game overall, even the whole line.
Funny how easy it is for our Math teacher to play Z's line every two shifts even if they haven't done much during the game. But when its our kis, Mantha, Larks, AA and Frk who don't do much you can be sure they will disappear.
When we scored our 4th goal with 5 minutes to play it was only Mantha's second shift of the third period.
Its those Strange décisions that led to our downfall. a Good coach can make a difference, even if Dick don't agree with that.
