Blashill said DeKeyser, Ericsson and Daley all questionable for season opener with short-term injuries. Green still out for start of season. Could be a young defense on opening night.
Could be a blessing in the sky. More kids in the line-up when season starts, it could forces KH to make moves…
Bernier and Frk are still a go for tonight as both are on the ice for the optional morning skate, which is on the main rink today.

Jesus I'm glad a re-read this. I thought you said Green is "still out for the season." Was freaking out. I don't know what you guys see when you look at Green but I see draft picks at the trade deadline. Potentially good draft picks. Stay healthy Mr. Green.

Zadina with the winner in OT !!
Someone talked to Blashill cause Zadina had tons of icetime in the second half of this game. And in OT with Cholo and Glen ? Why not ! its pre-season !
Again it was a fun game to Watch. Transition game was great, as we are not use to see the puck moving fast out of our zone. I think Cholo has regained the lead in front of Hicketts as the most "valuable" Bubble D.
This line-up didnt have the offensive as the one last night. Still Ras has secured a roster spot for this season (well at least 9 games, he can still go back to junior, but it wont happens)he played a good game. Same for Smith who eventually will be a better Abby
The bet is still on Zadina. The way they used him tonight tells me he still has a chance to stay in D.
Bernier played well..after the second goal (not a good one)
6-0 !! I don't remember a preseason like this one..

Nice goal. I know its only pre-season but how about being 6-0 and winning 1 goal games and OT wins?

funny nobody mention the great outlet pass by Cholo... Nice outlet but would it not have matter if Glendenning didn't win the draw In fact that is probably why Luke is still on the team, that and he's good in the PK. I would so love to see an improvement at center on taking faceoffs. So many bang bang plays start off the draw, both positive and negative things happen. It is an area that is pretty important. It is a stat that is hard to stomach when low 50's % is considered pretty damn good. This is one area where Larkin will need to sharpen up an bit if he wants to be good NHL center and progress if he wants to be a leader. You have to use competitiveness as a key...I hate to lose in anything so as a center I always made it a point to be aware of it, tracked it and worked at it just like everything else. As a team I'd like to see us get in the 50-51% range which would put us in the top 15 teams in the league. Chances are other improvements will follow. OT wins, 1 goal games, PK, PP etc.
