Florida won in a shootout against Washington last night so we're the only team yet to win a game. What this means is win or lose, we'll still be the worst team in the league at the end of the night.
Lines? Do they matter? It will be something the AHL coach throws together that won't make any sense in the NHL.
Starting netminder? Does it matter? Whether they can't stop a beachball or give up 2 we can't score more than 2 anyway.GAA's of 3.57 and 5.07
Aside from not winning the disappointments for me are Vanek (-9), Nielsen (-6) and Mantha (-11) and Ab-duh-kader (-5). Four players point total through 7 games is 7 points. I'm still trying to figure out how the hell Frans Nielsen conned Kenny Holland into thinking he is $6,000,000 per season player that we should give 6 mil to for 6 damn years.
While on rebuild mode I'd much rather shed overpaid vets in favor of prospects and rookies who have little in terms of cap hits. Bank the money and who knows when your rebuilt enough to maybe be on the cusp of making the playoffs you have some money left to make a deal at the deadline or sign a worthy vet in the off season.

The consistent theme the past couple years has been: 1) under performing players 2) same coach

For a moment i thought we would win this one in regulation ! ....yeah..i forgot our goalie was Howard, two bad goals again tonight (let me hear his defenders now )
. We played hard Larkin played his best game of the season, he look like the real captain of this team.
Cholo was incredible, i think he got the coach confidence (for what's worth !) cause he was on the ice on critical situation lilke in OT. Talking about the OT was that a fun OT to watch ?? a lot of intensity. Vanek look like the Vanek of old, scored a great gaol and had a ton of chances.
Finally one win in the book, hope the start of a few more.

Overall, the team looked better but still the same issues with goals, player positioning, etc.
I liked the use of players in the OT for a change...speed does work.
