Wings on ice for practice. Jacob de la Rose joins team after being acquired on waivers last week from Canadiens
Based on the way the lines are set up at Wings practice it looks like Rasmussen will be scratched for tonight's game against the Jets as Blashill indicated he might be. Looks like de la Rose will be in.
lines at practice: Bertuzzi-Larkin-Helm Athanasiou-Nielsen-Vanek Nyquist-Glendening-Mantha Abdelkader-de la Rose-Frk/Ehn Rasmussen (extra)
Looks like Mike Green might be ready for season debut Friday, based on Wings defense pairs: Cholowski-Green Ericsson-Daley Kronwall-Jensen Hicketts-Witkowski (extras) DeKeyser has retrurned to practice. They're hoping he's ready to play Sunday.

Ehn goes to GR to make room for de la Rose. I'd like to see Bernier start in place of Howard to see if he's not completely useless after we left him out to dry to give up 8 his last start.

I'm looking for a rebound tonight. They just "CAN'T" be as bad as they played against Carolina... or can they? Hoping to see something positive from the boys after they got embarrassed by the hurricanes. I hope that Blashill's dog skating of them on Tuesday made an impression. I hope this ends the country club lifestyle that is the wings dressing room. Time to bring your lunch pails and get to work! BTW this month has been brutal. The schedulers have been extremely devious to us this season. Where have all the patsy teams and easy wins gone? LGRW!

Only saw last half of the third period. I did see effort on the team but it appears that they just find ways to lose. They don't have the netminders to win games when you give up over 40 shots at home. Some other news. www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/Just an FYI.

We fought hard but couldn't capitalized on our chances, simple as that.
Hearthbreaking lost. Howard played his best game of the season. He was intense and fast..good for him !
We still lack the cohesion between the Ds and the forward and our structure is always wrong.
That's on the coach..but we can't blame anyone here...so..
Anyways...what can we say..we played well, fought hard but still lost again....

to correct that could starts like this….
Take Helm off the first line and put Mantha there where he belongs. Mantha is a lazy SOG and if he refuses to be intense send him to the press box NOT the 3rd or 4th line.
Mantha should play on the top 6..or not !
same for Bert who has too much offensive quality icetime for the talent he's got. He is a 3rd/4th liner at best.
Raz should be in on the third line at center. If you want Raz to shine he needs to play at the position he is more comfortable.
Abby should stay on the fourth line with Glen and Helm or Dela Rose...who was not impressive in his first game..

I blame Abby for bad coverage to let Buff free and Howard just got beat on a shot that should be stopped. We played an OK game but the margin of error is tight and we can’t score goals.
