We no longer are the last team to win back to back Stanley Cups.
Poster boy the Conn Smythe winner too.
I hate Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh has learned how to win and could do it again next year with Letang back. Their goalies are solid, defense good and they have two star players and speed in the rest of the lineup. Plus........,.the league and the refs are in love with them.
That all said Nashville was burned on that non goal. Pretty poor call by the ref. Another game with less than three goals. This needs to change so hopefully the goalies are wearing the smaller gear next year.

Nasville spent like 80% of the time in Pens zone in the third, but just could not score, even on 5 on 3. Usually those type of games end on a crazy bounce the other way...

I don't like Pittsburgh either but in the interest of sportsmanship I will say congratulations to them. They were the best team this year. I hope seeing this will make all Wings management and players want to return to glory as fast as possible.

I give props to Pittsburgh too. They earned another cup although I found the photo shop of Crosby holding up a big Ref whistle instead of the cup super funny when I say it haha. When you have key guys like Malkin and Crosby and add top pieces like Kessle etc. You don't win back to back cups on luck alone!

yeah, that's a reality that you absolutely must have 3-4 superstars on your team to win the cup and to get those superstars, you not only need to absolutely tank for at least 5 years, but also get lucky that a generational talents like Crosby/Malkin/Towes/Kane will be available. Edmonton tanked for 10 years getting multiple top picks and only McDavid now helped them. Same with Toronto and Matthews.

Plus if I'm not mistaken Chicago won the lottery to get Towes or Kane, can't remember which one. Hat's off to Bowman but stuff like that really helps.
