Center Frans Nielsen is out for Tuesday's game at Columbus and it is likely forward Andreas Athanasiou will also not suit up against the Blue Jackets.

It would be a lot more fun if we were in Pierre or Shawn's living room drinking from a keg together watching these games. LOL
Maybe then I could stand the pain. Anyway, I'll be watching tonight. Hickets on Wing - WTF? Put Cholowski there - the next Federov.

You're a D man in about you're 10th NHL game
You fake the shot, laying the opponent on the ice
Walk in behind the goal and set up the go ahead goal
That took a lot of confidence
That was clutch
I'm starting to like this Cholowski guy ...

2 great periods one third not so good. Maybe we ran out of gas with this depleted line-up virtually played 3 lines. Cholo play on Lil Bert for the winner was magical. Heads up all the way looking for Bert…
love the intensity again, Howard played well..except on the second goal
Good mention to Raz who played a very intense game. What's important that he is getter better shift by shfit.
One downer..why not Hicketts instead of Wit ??...
Two in a row folks...how about that !

Larkin really was a man on a mission. As I stated previously, he needs to be our captain and in part how we build the team around. He's the best player on our team. he makes a difference just about every shift and has decent leadership abilities. We played a really good road game but fizzled out in the 3rd. I'm not going to lie I was worried we'd choke ourselves out of a point in the 3rd period. Blahsill should use this game as an example on how being ready at the drop of the puck. If you jump to an early lead the game is much easier to play. Playing catch-up is hard hockey to play. I don't know where this kid Cholowski came from be the kid is golden. Every game I see he is more impressive than the last. So we score 5, which is more than 3 which = free small order of curly fries at Arby's. I wonder how long it will go before they change that Winning streak at 2. The regulation win last night made us leapfrog draft lottery teams Florida and LA so we're no longer 31st of 31 and are no longer in lats place in our division because Florida sucks harder than Detroit at the moment I think they went with Witkowski because he can play both forward and defense positions so it gave them a little more flexibility. I actually like Wit a lot and he's not really playing all that bad. He's one of those intangible guys who is great to have in the locker room. Its going to be interesting to see the status of Vanek's injury. Knee to knee contact and heading straight to the room are not good signs. If out for a while it will give opportunities for the younger guys to play and step it up a notch. |

Vanek is out 2 to 3 weeks..
I thought it was a little contact..but i guess some are more fragile then others...
