...but i knew that the fast start wasn't going to last.
Too much standing still looking around, specially in the second. Bernier saved us early but lost his angles on the O goal.
Overall we played well enough to win another one but at times we weren't Moving our feet and it cost us.
Some notes; The Vanek-Delarose-Ehn 4h line experiment has to be over, play Vanek on top lines where he belongs.
Glen is good on draws but Don't use him on offensive situations just for the sake of winning the draw.
Larkin wasn't very good today. Players who like the control the puck had a lot of troubles today as the puck was boucing around on a very bad ice surface.
Overall a good game that could have gone to the good side...but didn't. AA, on his break with Glen, should have shot the puck instead of passing….plenty of "if"!
As they say..can't win them all!

Good road game against a good team, but to win those Bernier has to stop long distance shots. Was Ericsson healthy scratch or he is just not ready?

We played a decent game. I think the Caps underestimated us or thought we'd be a walk over or something. It seemed to me in the 1st period they noticed they were being outplayed and outshot 14-1 they flipped a switch and started to take it over.
