Good start but then right after the first adversity in the middle of the game we fold. The Iles were all over the puck and we weren't. they deserve that win because they worked harder.
The Ils have one of the best forechecking in the league and in deep we had no answer.
AA again floats most of the game, took bad décisions and overall look disinterested. Same for lil Bert
The refs were bad..like they've been most of the season. The slashing call on Abby in the second was hilarious..they was no slashing, same for the call on E just a few seconds before, dumb call. I was thinking...maybe the game has become too fast for the human eye...the refs make bocus calls after calls…
Disappointing result..suddenly we lose valuable points at home where we should be "hell" for the opponent..
it isnt at the moment...

We got in 20 minutes of hockey before turtling over and snagging a defeat from the jaws of victory. How do you teach or coach your players into learning how to protect the lead? So far it's a failure for Blashill... sadly I remember the same pattern with Babcock coached teams. Figure out how to play with a lead and keep it should be the #1 priority in practice.

NHL refs are as bad as NBA refs. Sad but true. Until they let coaches challenge PENALTIES and NO CALLS the refs will decide MANY games. Sure by doing this they will wipe out plays after the fact but I don't care. GET IT RIGHT! Still pissed about the Edmonton/Pitt playoff series stolen by the stripes from over a decade ago:) Still excited now about the team. Even with all the injuries they compete most nights. Figures though the day after I get my Center Ice package back after two years they lay an egg. Feel a good week upcoming! LGRW!!!

This kind of game can happen when you have 2 not very good hockey teams square off.
I didn't like losing giving up 3 unanswered goals, coughing up a 2 goal lead and coming out w/o a point.
Cheap coverage mistake by E and Larkin left the man wide the eff open which basically gifted NY a goal to get back in the game. Was a down hill tilt after that really. We had some good chances but we needed a power play. Bernier looked good made some decent saves no fault on NY's 3 goals really...
We're where I think is the best we'll be overall...13-13-4, 30 games, 30 points. You never know with this parity if you hang around .500 hockey then going on a decent ROW run of 8-2, 9-1 puts you in the mix of playoff and wild card. I do think this team is starting an identity, we have some good pieces and with good efforts we can compete...add some pieces, move some and we can get out of the gutter.
