Should be a fairly evenly matched game as both teams are not very good Carter Hart will be the Flyers sixth goaltender this season. I just want to play good, get the younger guys ice time in key situations so they'll have some experience under their belts at the start o of next season. I'd like to see Howard play well so he'll be attractive to teams needing a netminder. I doubt KH will make a deal unless its one-sided heavily in favor of us. I do it for just a salary dump and move on. I never thought that James Russell Howard III was capable of winning a cup anyway...

However the Flyers are a pretty significant favorite tonight with the books (-180 and rising). My guess is the public expects a different result or an emotional spike from the new hire. I am going to put a few coins on the Wings at that inflated number. Need Howard to step up. Agree with 13...do anything possible to dump Howard/salary. His overall numbers this season are decent, especially his .922 save percentage BUT I still don't think any team will give up ANYTHING for him. And doubt they would simply cut him. LGRW!!!

i also think KH won't make a move now cause he thinks we are in playoffs hunt… Until we collect a bunch of loses in a row nothing will happen.

We are back to looking like we did the first week of the season. Can't win even a single battle or shift and certainly can't win a game.
Not trading Howard as the would want to showcase him if that was true.
I truly think taking Abby off the top lines would help. I'm with Shawn I just don't get what the organization sees in this guy.

Wings ALWAYS got the worst of those goalie interference calls. Some things never change. Homer used to get called for far less than that.

Yes let the guys praise Abby then trade him. I heard that Tampa is looking for a guy who will play in the bottom six, play with a bit of sandpaper and have playoff experience. I think Abby is a candidate. Sure the contract is not the best for trading but maybe the Wings have to eat part of the salary.

We can't play against a relentless two man forechecking. The Flyers did just that for 50 minutes then they sat on the lead, big mistake we had our best puck movements during that time.
On our side we barebly forecheck,
Again we play soft in our zone, it still look like an interstate, this time interstate 75 ! Too much room in our zone, not enough grit. The Flyers had a ball, thanks to Bernier it was a close game. (he probably would like to have the second goal back though)
We got rob of 3 to 4 seconds at the end. Cholo had the puck near our blue line with enough time to let go a shot from that distance but the refs goofed, stopped the play for no Reason and it never resumed..
More and more it looks like this is the best we can do without Green and Mo...

Howard is untradeable now with a bad back. I don't know the extent of his injury but it must be bad enough that he couldn't even be a backup. This sort of smells like a move by someone who doesn't want to be traded but unlikely. Seriously we'll have no takers...who wants an decently paid with a $5.2mil cap hit for netminder with a bad back? Do we have any potential prospects that could be an NHL starter? And we just lost our 4th straight. 24th place in a league of 31 and one point away from last in our division. Draft lottery chances are in reach
