if we play like we've been playing in recent games we Don't stand a chance.
The Canes will come at us like madmen, this is their style of play; relentless forechecking.
We have yet to learn how to play against that, worst thing to do is to try to keep the puck behind our net while the cycling continues. A quick first pass is a must, more players like Cholo is a must.

This is another one that can go either way as both teams play more bad hockey than good hockey Both have 33 points and are 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. I'm OK losing games if we're fully engaged and playing hard and to the best of our abilities. lets just use more youth than geezers so they can improve. We should be using players with upward potential and less of older guys with declining abilities...I don't care how much money they make either...if you're not in the future of DRW plans then so be it...we'll just over pay while you butter popcorn. Looks like Howard's back is OK, just locked up on him and he'll be the back up tonight. I hope he checks out as just an anomaly and he can play and start looking attractive to others in a trade

Leftwinglock has Bernier as..."likely"...Agree with 13 about playing the younger guys no matter the pay. BUT we all know that is just wishful thinking. They will play who they pay with few exceptions

Wings screwed on another goal. His skate was NOT on the ice. How they can't see that is beyond me. Still fortunate to be ahead. Need to break the slide. Get that next one! LGRW!!!

The team with the better netminder won. Bernier was better than Mrazek.

well here goes my Canes game plan expectation ! No forechecking at all very early in the game, no physical presence no Nothing ! Thank you Canes ! Then we started to believe that we have a chance, specially with the magical game of our "trash" goalie (is he about to force KH's hands to trade howard ?).
Love DeLarose's game. Fast, Always in good position, decent on face-off, with just a little more offensive confidence and he could become a very important player..
Cholo wasn't so effective in the first 40 minutes but then was good in the third.
Great game by Larkin again.
Oh well so we Don't tank anymore ?....let's go for the playoffs now since we won a game !

The team with the better netminder won. Bernier was better than Mrazek. Specially on the Kroner's goal. Mrazek totally missed the puck with his glove hand...Something we've seen frequently when he was playing for the Wings...

I didn't see the game....just the highlights. It seemed pretty obvious to everybody that their guy was offside on that goal. Not sure how they could justify calling that a "good" goal.

I saw the first two periods before a cold put me down for the night. They looked at that offside for awhile before declaring it a good goal. It wasn't clear-clear-clear-clear so they said inconclusive even though to a Detroit fan it was . . . . clear enough.
But hey, they won anyway.
I just can't imagine KH and the DRWs will part with JHo. To me he's been streaky, mostly not good enough and very occasionally pretty damn good. I don't recall that he's ever ever stole a game for us, which is what you want and need in the playoffs. If anything, his signature move is to give up an easy goal late in the game. And he's over-over-paid. I don't know the league like you guys but if I''m even just a casual fan for any other team in the league I don't want my team to give up anything of substance for JHo. If anything they'll probably want Bernier just because of the lower salary.
