this is what you get when your coach cannot prepare you to start on time...again. That first period was a waste of time.
This is what you get when that coach is soooo stubborn to constanly play Abby with Lark and Gus. Not even A SINGLE SHIFT missed, no way to try anyone else..just in case it might produce a goal.
Countless time today Abby was the Reason why the attack ended, lost the puck, bad passes, misses his check, you name Abby cant absolutely do anything positive.
...but he never misses a shift, plays the PK, plays the PP...
You give a chance to any other forward to play with larks and Gus and i swear to you we tie the game…
And Bernier should have started this game. Yeah yeah..we play tomorrow and Bernier will play tomorrow, but what are the odds that we win tomorrow ? Even with both goalies in net i wouldnt bet a dime. Today it was the game to put all your marbles in, Bernier has been hot, the defense has confidence in him, we were at home and he should have been in goal. With him we win the game...period !
Other than that i feel fine thank you...

Disagree on Howard. The Wings don't win the game with Bernier (although I do wish Bernier had started) . OT at best when you only score one. Howard had little chance on the first. The second he should have stopped but fanned. The posts helped him a couple times at least. He did not play well for sure but to win you have to score. Luongo made a few key saves...especially on the rebound by Larkin. Would say Luongo won this one. Wont beat a dead horse with Blas. Take Abby out of the game and my guess is the result is the same. VERY disappointing loss. At the NHL level it is up to the players to motivate themselves. This game is further evidence they need more talent. Changing coaches almost never changes the long term results of a team. There are a few exceptions as we have discussed before. Right now there are no proven exceptions available that I know of.

…"Disagree on Howard. The Wings don't win the game with Bernier (although I do wish Bernier had started)"
---If Bernier is net we are pump up, confident, ready to go after the game he stole in Canesland. If Bernier is in goal we score more than one goal..
..."Howard had little chance on the first"
--Basically yes, good shot, but look at the replay, again Howard was slow to move from looking behind his net to the front, and again he was not execting the shot..but yeah still a good shot. By the way its always the same thing with Howard the opponent Always let go a good shot !
...."At the NHL level it is up to the players to motivate themselves"
---True again, but why were motivated the last 40 minutes and not the first 20 ?? Could someone be responsible for that ?
…"Changing coaches almost never changes the long term results of a team."
--Thank God you said "almost"....

If Bernier is in goal the Wings score more than one? One could also say the Wings score none. Pure speculation.
