...on the ice again tonight. Impossible to determine how they will play from night to night. Consistently inconsistent best describes them. Leaning towards wanting them to improve their draft position these days after a horrific few weeks. Getting in the playoffs would be nice but does ANYONE believe they can take 4/7 against any opponent? I don't. Soooo..... LGRW!!! BTW... Larks game winner last time out was a beauty! BTW 2....My Colts are kicking ass and taking names! Look for them to take down the Chiefs nest Saturday! LGCOLTS!

Larks is a great payer. Just wish he would shoot more. Too many passes on the last PP!

Probably the best outcome for the Wings in the long run. The more talented team won again tonight.

it was a good game before that little wrister from the blue line late in the game for the Caps third goal..typical bad Howard goal...yeah it was deflected before Howard's defenders jump on me, but no way should a NHL goalie loses sight of the puck like this. What was he expected ? that the puck would magically hit him when he down...and looking down on the ice ?
Is dr Rhamani still active ?
Anyway no key saves no win..Holtby made a few of those, we played hard except AA again who floated again, Simply not interested to engage in any battle, some Strange line combinations by our beloved coach again (even mentionned by Mick) routine !!
but overall i guess the better team won.

We played a fairly respectable game. We had opportunities we just made few too many mistakes and good teams make you pay. The Caps first goal should never have happened WTF was E doing there not clearing the puck and getting beat by a smaller man? Yikes. Mantha had some good jump which is good to see. Washington are highly skilled puck possession team and the east west play in our zone was something Howard can't keep up with very well so they exploited that. 16-21-7...yeah the loss helps us more than 2 points. We're not making the playoffs. Roll the lottery dice

Regarding the third goal. I think 9 of 10 NHL goals have that score on them. Maybe Howard over-committed on the shot but the puck moved like 4 feet from the one side of the net to the other. He never stood a chance on that- especially with the traffic in front of him. All that did happen about 20 feet in front of him and he had already committed to his blocker side.
The results were closer than I expected. But in the end the reigning stanley cup champs beat a team that picked 6th in last years draft. That says it all. We were outmanned, outgunned and dare I say "out-coached"? Blashill needs to keep Abdelkader as far from the ice as possible during the final minutes when trailing by one goal. Why that stiff was out there when we needed a goal I will never know. He's a grinder not a scoring threat.
PS: our Power play is a snakepit mess. We really miss Green out there. I wish they had more faith in Cholowski to give him PP minutes. He needs to be given the opportunity to QB a PP.

Wears the A for the Dee-troit Red Wings I believe. Racks up the TOI every night. Played 44 games this season with 13 points he's on track for 25 points for the year. POINTS, not goals. Fucking pathetic .........

Yes that third goal was deflected, bounced up in there ...yeah i saw all of that. But look at him..he went down and quit on trying to follow the puck ! Then when it was in...he look like a scared chicken..afraid to look behind.
It happens to him too frequently for it to be just bad luck...
