Since both are broke Lines at practice today (game tomorrow) Notice Abby down on the 4th line? He should be fighting to dress each game, not be inserted in top 12 spot #RedWings lines at practice: Bertuzzi-Larkin-Mantha Vanek-Nielsen-Nyquist Athanasiou-Glendening-Ehn Helm-de la Rose-Abdelkader (Rasmussen rotating in) Team considering sending Rasmussen to junior club Tri-City, which would make him eligible for AHL playoffs with @griffinshockey

Yeah, for calendar year 2019 Boom Boom has 2 points (assists) and is -10.
I actually kinda admire the guy. It's a special sort of cool to be able to put up those numbers and still occasionally start on an NHL team's top line. LOL

The total on this game is seven. First NHL game this season I can remember having a total that high.

Well in the past I would have seriously lamented the first period. The puck hopping over 55's stick and the Hawks skate right in on us. Mantha wide open plunking the puck off, not one, but two posts. Vanek getting his face bloodied and no call. Right now I'm mad enough to want to scream for a comeback. But we need picks, pick, picks .....

Another helluva 3rd period. It was great to see fans excited at LCA. I like we showed spunk and evened it up.
Jimmy " the Wiffer" Howard's trade stock went down haha.

Wonderfully entertaining hockey. The "new deal" kids showed they are the "real" deal. Got a point but still on track for a high draft pick. Even though it was a loss, in the long run, big picture, it was a win.

I was thinking about this game and a few others recently. I think we play well from behind because Blash shortens the bench and we do have one pretty good line with Larks, Mantha and Bertuzzi and toss in AA. Just can't shorten the bench all of the time and burn those kids out. So maybe we're a player or 2 away from having 2 good lines. Then maybe Cholo develops and we add another good D man from somewhere. It will all piece together ...
