Yay for another one. Boom Boom had a multiple point (2) game. His first since 2017. I'm starting to like that guy ...

You recall your number one pick, you start to play him on a not so good line but at least it's a line, Glen and Raz...and then after 3 shifts it's all over ! Zadina is not good enough cause this coach still plays to win at all cost.
IMO you recall your top prospect YOU PLAY HIM REGULARLY on one line and forget about him, like they did with Raz for no Reason all season long, he wasn't doing anyting but was still playing a regular shift and on the PP for the first half of the season.
If you want to really use the 9 games Zadina will have before he is back to GR...PLAY HIM !!
We have Nothing to win does this coach remember that ?
Blashill shouldn't be near this group when next season starts. The math teacher experiment must stop at the end of this very painfull season.
Other than that it was a very entertaining first half of game...then it all went down...like it was predictable.
It's nice to think of this damn lottery..but boy is it hard to Watch hockey these days...

and keep making those trades.....
Nyquist is gone to San Jose for a 2nd round pick this year and a conditional 3rd rounder in 2020 if the Sharks resign him or they get to the cup finals. With the 2nd rounder this year the Wings have a lot of picks in the next two drafts. Any chance they may use a number of those picks to move up in the draft this year if they don't get a top three pick in the lottery. Good to have some options.
Nyquist is a decent player but by the time the Wings are cup contenders he will be too old so trading him makes sense. Good luck to him in the future.
Now Kenny, make that deal to trade Howard

Now Kenny, make that deal to trade Howard KH needs a dance partner...people in the NHL know Howard doesn't have much value, only a backup role in my opinion. I still see him going to Pittsburgh as a backup role to Murray..

I think Jimmy playing the yank me game and basically sucking the last several games tanked his trade stock. I doubt he'll be moved but honestly I'm unaware of the other teams goaltending situation but for my money Howard is too rich for my blood. Hopefully a team is in a bind and will take Jimmy off of our hands. The netminder situation we have is really spending too much on basically 2 NHL level backup netminders. I was pretty vocal on Howard when we first got him saying he wasn't an NHL netminder. He proves me wrong asn he put up some decent numbers but even if we had a stacked team it is highly unlikely that he could win a Stanley Cup as a starting netminer.

No way these teams will resign him… i wouldnt be surprise to see KH be nice to him next july...that's the way KH works. I hope KH leaves the team before july first. KH did a good job trading everyone for picks but when july first comes in i Don't trust him at all.

Good trade by KH... a second this year and a 3rd (possible 2nd) next year. Something for nothing.
Imagine this alternate reality scenario: Nyquist's goal against SJ yesterday proves to be the game winner... then he gets traded to SJ... the Sharks fall completely apart and miss the playoffs by one point... Gus's game winner proves to be their nail in the coffin.
