Kraft hockey was fun. Small arena, plenty of Wings fans in the stand..and a win. 4-1
For those who Don't Believe that contracts means everything think again. A guy like Cholo might be sent back down to GR because of...E, and he is not even playing. OR a guy like Pickard, who look darn good in net tonight, is for sure going back to GR..why ? cause Bernier and Howard has NHL contracts and good or not they will be with the Wings this season.
Some other notes...Zadina is gone to GR for the whole season, we must forget about him he is not ready. Just because you are a first round pick doesn't guarantee you of a roster spot, Zadina is more a second or third round pick, he will be with the Wings but he is far from being ready. Think about Tatar, it took him 4 full seasons in GR before he becomes a true NHLer. Zadina is not ready.
And Ras now..same thing, logically he is going to GR..even thnough he's got credit with two goals tonights (one on an empty net, the other a Strange deflection ) again tonight he was not a factor. He is going to GR and he too could be another Tatar, let's give him time to help the Wings..but it won't be this season and maybe not next season.
On this line-up tonight there was a lot of players that will NEVER play in the NHL but they were just there because we have to cary many players because we play every nights…
