...I have little confidence the Wings can even get a point tonight. A bit disheartening the last couple losses have been. The Flames are a huge favorite. Just wish the Wings would give a young goalie a shot but realize that won't happen. Sooooo it appears if the Wings are going to get points they need at least three goals to do so. Done rambling. The Red Wings who did not practice yesterday — Nemeth, DeKeyser, Erne — all skating this morning in the optional
Blashill said he anticipates Nemeth playing but DeKeyser and Erne are game-time decisions. In goal its Jimmy Rutherford tonight...

Jeebers, looks just like last season. Lines all broken up, no chemistry. Abby on the fucking power play, really? Five shots in the entire period. One thing we are good at, very good at - turning a 5 on 4 into a 5 on 3 because we drop, break, or otherwise lose a stick. A complete mess.

Game playing out as expected. Figured the lines would be juggled. Bert came back late. Howard played fine. Double deflection= no chance. Five SOG not going to get it done. A point tonight would be a HUGE win.

Nothing much positive about this one...so early in the season but yet so bad…
Can't blame Howard ? ..maybe...but that goal number 3 i Believe when Biega heard Lucic footsteps...Howard was sooo slow to go from one post to another….and on the 4th...twice he had the chance to stop the play but couldn't control the rebound. At that time we were still fighting and playing hard...after those goals we quit.
And on the other side, the Flames goalie look so big and square...
The new lines didnt work, our defense core is pathetic. No one can say that Nemeth is a great addition, same for Biega. Of course they are just there to patch up holes while Seider is preparing…
Nielsen is pathetic...Fil isnt much better, At least he can win draws.
in the meantimes we have to Watch this ...oh well...

I only watch portions of the games any more and usually turn them off before the game is over. I keep asking myself if we really have the beginning core of a good young team or if it's just a mediocre team top to bottom. Sometimes I think yes other times no. Are our good young scorers really good young scorers? I mean, if an average player is my top guy and gets a lot of ice time he may bag 25 goals. But at the end of the day he's still an average player. Are our top scorers really top guys or just average?

I had Lija flashbacks seeing that #3 Biega so soft on the puck behind our net. He then tosses it too slowly to Mantha who fumbled and BAMMO...back of our net. We're a young team, we're going to be inconsistent and mistake prone for a while until they learn that they can play at this level or quit  |

Lindholm got what he deserved. Why no penalty on the guy who dropped gloves and landed a couple on Helm?  ? The refs saw it and called nothing. |
