I gotta quit looking at the standings. We are not just bad, we are worse than bad, we are monumentally bad, we are epicly bad. Epicly isn't even a word but I needed new, previously undiscovered word to describe our badness.
Seriously, the next game with Boston then the West coast swing, to me, are going to define who we are and perhaps our season. I'm hoping, best case scenario, we look at least somewhat competitive and maybe a point per game plus. Worst case scenario, and perhaps more likely, is we just get routed game after game after game.
It just doesn't seem possible a team could be this bad. I remember when the Wings were flying high and some bottom feeder team would come in and clean us up. You know, the old adage, any team can beat any other team any given night. Seems like our adage is any team can beat the Red Wings pretty much every night. Jeesh ...
Anyway - GO WINGS !!

The GM is working on it and making some moves, trying to piece something together, which means there’s no chemistry yet, too many new faces.
Worse, they really don’t have THE one or two leaders on the ice that can show them how to win. 39, 71, and 72 are their best offensive players but neither is ready or even able to set the tone. There’s NObody like that on D. And G has never been that guy.
So. E is gone, that’s good, everbody wanted that. And most of the other non-GR vets will be wanting to move at the TDL. Z and V are very hopefully developing in GR. Cholo’s getting to play. Abby’s no longer on the top lines. That’s about it at the moment.
The GM is going to keep making moves, we can revel in that, and hope at some point they gel or there’s a couple big ones that get the ball seriously rolling at next TDL, draft, and FA time. Then a good coach will be interested.
