I'm sorry, I didn't make my point very well. I'm hoping Stevie can pick some talent up from some cap challenged teams. Haven't looked in a while but I think the Wings are in good shape cap wise.

The Wings are in good shape, but does SY want to make a move ? if an UFA is available and he is not under 27 years of age, i think, in our current situation, it wouldn't be a good move. Any new acquisition via UFAs must be young, under 27..cause we aren't ready to win at all. what's the point of spending on a 30 years old if, when we are ready to win he will be too old to contribute ! BUT Player like Brock Boeser of Vancouver would be the exception. He'd fit right away into our rebuilding. i heard the Nukes have problems signing him to a long term. |

Depending on the guy and the term it might make us more exciting short term and possible trade bait for picks in a few years.

I guess I'm wishing for something, anything, Pierre. Who do we really have to build a team around? Larkin, Bert and Mantha seem like a great supporting second line on a championship team to me. Who do we really have coming up? We're not getting good picks. I think Yzerman is going to need to mix in a few astute trades and maybe free agent signings to move us along. Although how much of that do you see any more?
So what to do? Wait to hit the lottery I guess. Luck. No thanks. The draft and lottery process have really soured me on the game. Things may never be the same. But, if you come to Detroit maybe we can see a game next year. And go to Bazooki's LOL.
