Season gets underway tomorrow folks. Of course our goal is to make the playoffs but for that we need all of our tools, specially AA.
I think it's not a money thing, simply a conflict between our great coach and a cocky Young player. These two don't get along. I use to be a coach and i know how hard it is to please every players. But AA has a case, Blashill was not fair with him last season.
I think AA wants to get trade. I hope i'm wrong, we need him dearly.
Starting line-up as soon as it comes out.
EDIT
Here it is...
lines: Tatar-Zetterberg-Nyquist Mantha-Larkin-Frk Helm-Nielsen-Abdelkader Booth-Sheahan-Glendening
defense pairs: DeKeyser-Daley Kronwall-Green Ericsson-Jensen Ouellet-Witkowski (extras)

Yo Pierre! Dick Mc here. The forum would not let me use my normal name so I took the name of my all time favorite poster:) You REALLY think they are going to have a GOOD season. My bookie has them with the sixth lowest point total over/under listed at 77.5 You think they will beat that total number?

I can appreciate a good effort, line like Larks-Mantha-Frk could be interesting. Mrazek look better during the last camp. I don't care about the points total all i care is to see a good show, intense and positive. This is a transition season for sure. NB I suggest you correct your nickname...the real spleen might show up..you never know !

That "very good" coach will be gone before the first snow fall...if not KH has not balls. Again in pre-season games Blashill favorite player was...you guess right good ol useless Sheahan ! Now Sheahan will start on the fourth line. Let's see how long he stays there before they put him on the PP..

I think you're pretty close to spot on with AA and Blashill. AA certainly made good use of his limited minutes last season. If he ever made a mistake he'd be in the coaches dog-house and reduction in minutes for a while. Then you had a guy like Sheahan who wasn't doing jack offensively and defensively yet he kept playing him and playing him because, hey, he's a big body.
I hope the team can come together and play a good, balanced team game but I'll be frank, I have low expectations, I wanted Blashill fired after last season, disappointed in KH the last few seasons (would have been fine if he was fired last season). It will tough to remain positive but I'm giving them a chance. I hope they're not going to be as boring to watch as they were last season. Special teams are going to be key as we're going to see a lot of hand slashing penalties and interference calls the first couple months. With AA out of the mix it takes some flash out of the lineup. We need Larkin to have a strong season and Daley to add some offensive spark...he's still a good skater. I hope Mrazek bounces back and Howard to do well too. We can't rely on Hank to carry this team...too big of a task to do alone.
I'll be ready and looking forward to the season starting, pray we get off to a good start early. Let's Go Red Wings!

Looks like Kron is actually out tonight. The guy should stop embarassing himself and look at the reality and retire.

Good news for the first PP unit. Daley is on different level as a PP quarterback at this point of Kron's career.

"Basically, it's the same team," general manager Ken Holland said. "Certainly, some players I signed didn't perform last year to the level I thought they were, and when you got players that don't perform, it's not like there's a marketplace for those people.
I think this is the first time I hear KH kind of admitting he screwed up with all these signings in the past 18 months. I am concerned with his belief most of them just had an off year and all of them will just magically improve at the ages of 30-32.

I think KH realized that their is no market, or very little, for some players he wanted to trade. So he decided to gamble, keep the same team and hope for the best, a better season . That's a huge gamble that can cost Blashill and KH their jobs... Right now looking at the the top two lines i think we can score some goals, but looking at our D...Howard better be good !!
