For a change i like what the coach said this morning...
"There will be zero excuse not to win the hockey game tonight, zero," Blashill said following the morning skate Saturday. "We're going to have to play the way we played for the most part on the road. That's efficient, smart, simple hockey."..
---I totally agree with that. Most important game of the season. If we don't win, if we don't play like we did on the road (including Calgary's game)than this season will be done...to me anyway !
It is that simple !

We really can’t afford to give up points if we want to hang around the playoff bubble. There is a lot of parity and only a couple teams with separation of the pack. There really is no excuse to losing to weaker teams I can’t listen to Blashill anymore, he makes me sick with his cliches and saying shit that is predictable. We need a win...let’s go get it and win one for 1/4 Empty lower bowl at the Pizza Palace

how can they have scored 19 in the last 4 games on Bobrovski ??
Best goalie by far..
and Howard was bad..(kidding)
Tough one...we played tough but the Jackets have superman in goal. The Jackets played a very intense game too...
Z is not looking good recently...
The effort was all right..let's move on...

We should have won this in the shinny period, twice We get the parity point...yippie. A loss is a loss to me. Losing streak at 2. Now we’re off for a couple of days before we play Calgary.

I knew when I saw the early stats and the BJ's record that it was going to be a tough night. The Wings always seem to reward opponents who are in slumps or players who have not scored in a while. You can count on them producing against our team, especially in the past 2-3 years. Why is that? Lack of preparation and inept coaching is why. Putting his so called shutdown guys out almost ensures they are going to be hemmed in early on but he does it way too much. And last night, he did it at the beginning and again at the end of the third period. I don't get it because these guys are often the goats on the give-away goals. How the Wings could have been so unprepared and give up a gift goal so early is beyond me......so what was the coach's excuse after the game.
The team's immediate retrenchment into defence mode right after they scored was another example. They nearly gave up the go-ahead goal when the BJ's pressed and had no response for several shifts. Coaching? Leadership? Why?
The first trio out on the ice in OT was a real joke too. They set the tone and let the BJ's have their way because the couldn't win a face-off. With face-offs it's how many you win but how may critical face-offs you win.
I will allow for the time zone changes after a West Coast trip but only to a point. The BJ's had played the night before but looked fresher much of the night.
Sorry for the rant, guys, but this coach still ticks me off almost every game!

i thought the first goal against was simply a bad change. Daley went scrolling to the bench like a walk in the park while Helm again, instead of dumping the puck deep, caught the puck up along the board. Stupid play again by Helm and lazy Daley combine for this goal.
As much as i hate this coach i certainly cannot blame him for this goal.

True. The players screwed up on the line change but I view it as a poor breakout from their own zone and their effort to dump and chase, presumably at the insistence of their coach. This team rarely makes an effort to maintain puck possession, even if that means retreating back toward their own zone or passing the puck back. They usually try to force the puck forward, only to have it intercepted or having it go for an icing.
No question, though, it was really poor execution by Helm.

aside from the untimely line change the players along the wall ran into each other...I think one was Ericsson
