Funky game. We couldn’t buy a power play goal, good win and we need to keep it going.
I don’t think the line Buffalo goal should have counted...there was goaltender interference from my POV.

Detroit deserved the win. Out chanced Buffalo by a lot. Both goalies played well. It appears that Detroit has finally realized that Dats is no longer on the team and have stopped trying to play the game like he did. Mantha has size so he uses it. Larkin and AA have great speed and they use that. Wings are playing a simple, team oriented game and it gives the best chance of success. The recent change in play has made me believe they can be a playoff team. At the start of the year, it did not seem so.
Good win for the boys.

tough first 40 minutes of play, better third but the intensity was there for the most part. Before we scored it was painful to Watch this game, the kind of game you think a fluke goal will win it, specially with Lehner in goal, he's got our number.
I was expecting more from Mantha, again i saw him floating tonight. He seems to expect that all good things will come easily, well ..it doesnt ! The guy's got talent coming out of his ears but sometimes takes timeout.
Still a win, now send back Lashoff to where he belongs and if you desperately need a 7th D bring hickets instead.
Good win..makes me feel like going on the road and watch a few games of this homestand.
naah..the curse must stay home ! ....oops i forgot ...Chris is the curse now ! lol

Sloppy, but good enough. Helm and Glen were great. AA had probably 5-6 turnovers, not good. Z is stilll struggling, but somehow played 22 minutes.

Gritty win and one where they showed a lot of energy. Letting the young guys play bigger roles is paying off.
Whether or not they will grow into a team that works for each other remains to be seen bu it's looking much better right now.

Is 11 forwards the way to go for the rest of the season?

Yes, because it allows Larkin and AA to play more

Yes, because it allows Larkin and AA to play more But i suspect that it is not the reason why Blashill plays 11-7... I wish he could provide an explanation to that. Why a 7th if he plays on 4 minutes ?
