No morning skates at MSG today. The Globetrotters are there. Likely Howard goes for the Wings. He has a .952 SV% in 6 career starts at MSG. Would think Lundqvist plays for NYR, but eventually Pavelec has to get another start, right?

Curious to see how Mantha responds for the Wings tonight after getting called out by Blashill on Wednesday. Blashill said Mantha has to be way better and it's not OK to be a passenger when you're given a lot of responsibility.
The Wings have gone with 11 forwards and 7 defensemen of late, and it's possible that they may continue that pattern...as stupid as it might be.

I don’t like the coach calling out Mantha when the majority of the team was stuck on cruise control and playing withou passion 115 minutes of the last 120 minutes of hockey. He never calls out Z but I lost count on the number of time the #40 being a step behind his man who scores on us. I don’t hear him calling out Tatar or Nyquist who are not earning their 5-6 million a season contracts. I don’t hear him calling our Howard or Mrazek for spitting out rebounds or calling out the cotton soft defense in front of our own net who let a man stand there and bury a rebound.
Sorry but coach Blashill is an asshole.

Lorene is taking care of a friend's cat who has season tic's. Since he's outta town he left us his tic's for tomorrow night. Will be my first look at the new barn. Looking forward to it. Will try to post some pics.

good effort overall.
Howard was good but against a future Hofer Lungkvist he had no chance. Lungkvist stopped everything and Howard stopped...almost everything. Way too deep on the winner. But obviously can't blame Howard for this OT lost.
I think this coach will eventually need to rely more on Larkin as the number one center and give him the TOI that i first center deserves. He is the only one who can elevate his game when it's on the line. He had a good game and a great third period.
Mantha was floating again...well a bit more intense floating ! Now i believe confidence and doubts are in Mantha's mind.
Strange that our beloved coach played AA in the last 30 seconds with a face-off deep in our zone...i thought he was bad defensively ? ...maybe its our coach that is bad !
It could have gone either way..but you knew the Ranger would get the winner. I could feel that.
Still it's a point. Now we need to come up with that kind of effor tomorrow...its a must.

At times we looked great, at times pretty bad. Lundquist had no stick in OT and Green shoots right into Miller stick. And then Larkin just loses his man on an easy 2 on 2.
Howard was sensational. Daley is a huge loss.

I'm guessing Mrazek will start tonight. Any news on Daley other than getting an MRI today? From the looks of it, its way more than a "stinger" that Blashill claims...sort of how lie DK will miss a couple of games  |
