The Red Wings will be battling a particularly streaky team in the Philadelphia Flyers this evening . The Flyers followed up a 10-game losing streak with a 6-game winning streak, which was snapped during Monday night's 4-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
The Flyers' 14-12-and-7 record is pretty bad by Metropolitan Division standards (and standings), but it's better than the Wings' 13-13-and-7 mark, and the Phildelphia Inquirer's Sam Donnellon reports that Michal Neuvirth is just getting back to practicing with the team, so we're probably going to see a Brian Elliott-Jimmy Howard match-up in goal.
more to come..i hope.

can we win 3 in a row? We haven't yet this season I'm going to assume that Howard would be back in net tonight. I actually was a bit surprised to see Mrazek last night as I read Howard was starting in a couple different places. Yeah, Flyers are not very good but should be an evenly matched game.

It’s bad bad bad.
But, they were less bad than they Islanders yesterday. So who am I to judge what will happen at this point? Every spurt of winning by Detroit keeps Blashill employed for better or worse

I somehow feel like Bruce Willis in Sixth Sense. Pierre not quoting my posts. Got another buddy who hasn't responded to some emails. My wife didn't really hug me last night. WTF Hope I'm not dead. Gotta see another Wings Cup. Anyone out there ?

Larkin seemed to enjoy FRKs goal (8) as much as if he scored it himself. Frk needs to find a way to earn some more ice time. 2 Goals in 2 nights is a good start.
Even after 1 - Larkin Rules !!!

I'm tire of the nonsense...
Tell me....we are tie at 2, we got a penalty, we send Larks and Helm to PK. We had a good start, we won the draw and after 15 seconds the puck is out..then we make ..a change ?? sending Abby and AA on the ice
... in the next 15 seconds the puck is in our net ...
Why make a change after only 15 to 20 seconds of PK ?? Our best PKers are by far Larks and Helm when they are together. Again that quick change was costly, and critical ....détails Blashill ...détails !!!!

I've seen enough of the 11-7 thing, there is little continuity of personnel and the flow is all jacked up. I thought for the most part we played a pretty good hockey game. We have a problem retaining leads regardless of where we play. 3-2 lead in the second ends 3-3 and lose in the 3rd.
On to Boston for Saturday day game before the holiday break
