We all know injuries are going to happen. I see the injury thing as a chance for a kid to get called up and show us how he's progressed. That's what we SHOULD be doing. I don't know how Holland and Blashill look at it. I hope they are aren't managing the team to try and get into a playoff spot. Don't get me wrong- that would be great. But something bad happens when Blash starts coaching the game as if he's trying not to lose- rather than trying to win- if you know what I mean. I just hope we don't see a dud like Lashoff get the call to fill in. The ship sailed on him 4 years ago.

Toronto -310 tonight. Wings goalie will need to stand on his head as they say. BUT as Mick would say right now its..."a one shot game"... Thankfully pucks are like baseball ....any team can beat any other team one time. Left wing lock anyone??? LGRW!!!

I'm not sure the LWL would work very well without the center line but worth a shot.
I'd rather try the run and gun game and see of we can beat them 8-7 hahah

Haven't seen Sulak play and Lashoff played most of a season a few years back. My question is what went wrong with DD? When they got him years back I seem to remember pretty high expectations...especially offensively. Injuries? Or did he simply not live up to expectations? Man my memory sucks!

DD was way overrated and ultimately is over paid and signed for too long. He's really not all that good or bad for that matter. For me he basically fit in immediately and didn't look out of place as a rookie but he hasn't really improved any. We're probably stuck with him through the 2021-22 season for 5 mil a pop.

Didn't know he was making that much. Do remember he looked pretty good early on in his career but has turned into a nothing burger

Well the Leafs were terrible the first two periods and the Wings took advantage of the rookie goalie. Leafs tie it up 4-4 in the 3rd and you would figure that they would take it but Nyquist makes a great play to Larkin for the OT winner.
Wings are currently in 8th place. I would have never guessed that after the horrible start to the season.
Good effort today by the team even without 3 starters

Nobody ..and i mean nobody from this group was expecting that kind of result.....like this current season is not important.
Another amazing performance against a very highly skill bunch of players. We fought hard and played hard even in the third when Toronto scored 3 times, we still look good enough to deserve the win.
They have skills, specially Marner on the third goal where where he skated around everybody and then set up i don't know who for a goal..yes they are good..BUT WE WON !!
Cholo is our best defense. No one can control the puck in our zone like he does, that little pass ahead is always accurate. Just wait when he picks up a few pounds next year he will be a beast.
No doubt our next captain is Larkin...how many goals in OT so far this season ?..at least 3

The only thing sweeter than the first four goals and Dyllie’s GWG was Nike’s sweeeeet little pass. That was a tough four game stretch and Wings earned some respect. We’ll be in town this weekend, expecting some buzz from the Wing nation.
