Holland said his mindset isn't so much about this season or next, but down the road. Pretty much means ladies and gentlemen he is coming back:( And Blashill probably too. And I am guessing AA is traded this summer for a third rounder because he is "not DRW material".

“We have to slowly move young players onto our team, but there has to be a veteran presence to teach those young players how to play,” Holland said. “To be competition for those young players for ice time. I don’t believe in entitlement".
Who is he kidding with this quote about not believing in entitlement? Really, who? The entitlement starts with KH himself imo.

“I can’t read the future,” Holland said. “I have to make decisions before Monday (trade deadline). If he continues to play well, that’s reading the future and there’s not a person on the planet that can read the future. I have to make decisions based on the information on hand. I’ve had an opportunity to watch Petr, we’ve all watched him for a number of years, and he can get on a roll and he’s on a roll right now. I can’t read what the next 25 games will bring. I had to make a decision yesterday and I made that decision.”

REAding that Holland’s was talking to the Islanders about moving Howard as well, but nothing came of it.
That means he didn’t intend to keep either guy and Howard is only staying if he can’t be moved and that Coreau is in line to be the guy.
Maybe there’s just hasn’t been a good offer for green and any other forwards yet.
Ken Holland’s words are suggesting they won’t take a contract back, picks only, but may take a veteran goalie back to spell Howard and not waste Coreau’s time on the bench

Green still might go to Tampa Bay. Especially those who are on their last year of the contract. Other teams name the price on “rental” players. So see another deal like Mrazek if those are to get traded. But don’t expect our vets to go. Nobody will take massive contracts for mediocre players.

i think KH will have no other choice but to buyout Abby and/or Helm. Yesterday Abby was atrocious, skating with a piano on his shoulders... That is exactly why Holland is to blame for us being where we are. He gets too personal with players IE: Helm, Ericsson, Kronwall. All who shouldn’t be on our roster at least for the amount they’re getting.

----i think KH will have no other choice but to buyout Abby and/or Helm
----and we will be playing for Abby for the next 10 years then. There is no good solution here with these 2 players.

well since the Preds are now out of town and Tats is still here..then i guess there is no trade...well the Preds land anyways...
For the rest of Red Wings drama stay tuned for TDL..not before. If Mrazek was traded before TDl it's because KH was Under pressure by the Flyers.

Well, Holland knew he had to get something out of the UFA, so accepted anything he could from a team and I’m sure the Flyers were the best deal. Which isn’t a bad one. If he’s such a good goalie what everyone expects, he will have no issue getting us better round picks.
Teams still make deals out of town, and the Preds are still top runners for either of those two.

I'd be fine dealing Tatar who has the 2nd biggest cap hit once Green is moved. I didn't like his deal to begin with. I'm hoping for more than just Green and Mrazek being moved before Monday's deadline. I'm for moving anyone and willign to do it just for cap space or improvement from subtraction of assets.
Two people I want to sign are Larkin and Mantha and they are going to get paid well and we need to pay them. I want AA too but if we don't fire the coach he'll be unable to shine here. He may already want to go somewhere else anyway and KH may be fine with that based on him holding out on camp.
